Growing up in an environment surrounded by firehouses and having a family full of professional firefighters, my interest in the world of firefighting was sparked from an early age.
The captivating tales and adrenaline-inducing stories that were shared amongst the firefighters during their downtime always left me longing to be a part of their camaraderie.
My excitement grew as I eagerly anticipated the day when I could finally join the ranks and share in those moments over a cup of hot coffee.
When that moment finally arrived, and my father, also a seasoned firefighter, handed me my first cup of steaming coffee, my enthusiasm was quickly met with a surprise.
The initial sip proved to be too bitter for my taste buds, causing me to inadvertently spit it out. Much to their amusement, my dad introduced me to the concept of adding cream and sugar to mellow out the bitterness.
However, as I developed a refined palate for coffee over the years, I discovered that I preferred it in its purest form - black.
Embracing the qualities of a quality roast and the guarantee of freshness, our coffee stands on its own without the need for any additional sweeteners.
